CONFERENCE TIDBITS


  • Registration will begin promptly at 8:00 am with breakfast being served. 
  • Lunch will be served at approximately at 12:15 pm.
  • There will be an option to tour exhibits in the Cultural Center. 
  • We are scheduled to end at 4:30 pm and you will be free to network or visit all galleries.



     Regina began her Human Resources (HR) career at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, where she served in several positions, including Director of HR Strategy.  In 2000, Regina joined Corning Incorporated, Corning New York as Manager, Organization Effectiveness Global.  In 2003, Regina joined Wachovia Bank now Wells Fargo, Charlotte, North Carolina as Vice President, Senior HR Business Partner for the Human Resources Division.
     In 2010 Regina joined Fifth Third Bank, as Senior Vice President, Regional HR Director for the Carolina’s where she is a member of the Executive Leadership Team that provides oversight for All Bank operations.  Most recently Regina added Virginia, Georgia, Tennessee & Kentucky to her HR Leadership responsibilities. Regina is proud of the Charlotte Observer Top Workplace 2016 Award.
     Regina has a reputation for being a change leader, strategist and mentor!  Regina is a native of New York and received a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York.  She later earned a Masters Degree from Cornell University in Industrial & Labor Relations / Organizational Behavior. 
     Regina believes in community involvement and currently serves on the Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont Board of Directors, the Charlotte Susan G. Komen nominating & board development committee, and Charlotte Women Executives (WE) Board of Director’s.  Regina is a founding executive for the Queen City Metro Chapter (QCMC) of 100 Black Women.  Regina is a member of the National Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM) & Women’s Intercultural Exchange (WIE).
    Regina is Married to Nicholas V. Wharton, Chief Programs & Partnership Officer, Urban League of the Central Carolina’s.  They have (3) adult children, Nikkia, Communications Attorney, Hasani, Marketing Executive & Hadiya, Commercial Animation Production Assistant / Professional Dancer.
